Here are some basic questions and answers about Bottom Hill.
Q. How do I read this?
A. Bottom Hill is a web serial. Think of it like a TV show: there are 13 episodes in a season (more if it’s basic cable) that air weekly, barring any holiday or awards shows. Bottom Hill will “air” at 8pm on Fridays. Each chapter is an episode. After 13 episodes, there will be a break. Instead of posting re-runs, I’ll be editing past chapters.
Q. Is Bottom Hill based on anything? Are the characters based on anyone?
A. Bottom Hill is a completely fictional town based on various towns in SEAL (southeastern Alabama). I set it in SWAL because placing it in SEAL would be too obvious. ^_^ The characters are based on friends, family and complete strangers I’ve met over the years. Not one person is a single person from my life; that wouldn’t be interesting nor fair.
Q. What is up with the Narrator?
A. The narrator is a carefully written character with no dialogue and no sex. I want the reader to become the narrator completely, and I can’t do that if the narrator has either.
